WATTCAR is a group of professionals from different backgrounds, brought together by one thing: a genuine commitment to the electric-car world.

We own them. We drive them. We charge them. We live with them. And, like anyone spending their own money on a car, we question them.

We have enormous respect for the work of Australia's motoring journalists and the knowledge and commitment they bring to reviewing cars. We'll draw on that expertise. But we're deliberately coming at electric cars from somewhere different — the real world outside the motoring-journalist bubble.

EV through and through.

WATTCAR founder Mike Allen has spent his career in publishing, advertising and marketing. He's also been an early adopter of most things technological — including electric cars. His EV journey began with his first electric car more than a decade ago. He hasn't gone back.

The rest of the WATTCAR team share that commitment. Different backgrounds. Different experience. Same fascination with where electric cars are taking us.

We're passionate.
We're curious.
We're questioning.
And we try to keep a sense of perspective.

Because ultimately, these are cars people are spending their own money on.

That's what matters.
