GWM CANNON PHEV
UTE

WATT MATTERS?
The Cannon PHEV brings plug-in capability to a more familiar working-ute formula. It could broaden electrification beyond SUVs and commuter cars.

The Cannon Hi4-T PHEV is now advertised as available by GWM Australia. Lux and Ultra Hi4-T grades share a 33.1 kWh battery, 310 kW / 750 Nm combined output and a 115 km NEDC electric claim. The October offer starts at $50,990 driveaway for eligible VIC private buyers. Ultra adds heated and ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera. This is a separate model from Cannon Alpha.

THE WATTCAR TAKE
This is worth watching because ute buyers have very different priorities from EV early adopters. The Cannon must prove the plug helps rather than complicates real work.
